Managing a diverse portfolio of over 10,000 rooms in 58 cities across 10 countries, TrevPAR World Group specializes in empowering guest houses, bed & breakfasts, and local as well as international branded hotels to reach their full profit potential.
Armed with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Hospitality Management from Stenden University,
Derek's passion for Revenue Management has been the cornerstone of his successful journey. His expertise has enabled him to assume senior roles in property-based and corporate Revenue Management with leading regional and international brands.
Motivated by a recognition of the talent gap in revenue and data analytics in Africa, Derek returned to South Africa to establish TrevPAR World Group. TrevPAR World Group is dedicated to Total Revenue Management, offering comprehensive services including daily commercial management, distribution services, revenue management, sales and marketing management, and social media solutions.
Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Derek actively contributes to the growth of the hospitality industry.
He plays a key role on the Stenden Advisory Board and has spearheaded initiatives such as the establishment of a Revenue School and a partnership with Stenden South Africa to introduce the continent's first Revenue Management degree program.
